I've started testing Windows 2000 SP3 for deployment here
at the office, and I noticed that the version of Windows
Installer included in SP3 isn't the latest available.  SP3
installs 2.00.2600.0, when the latest is 2.00.2600.2.

Question is:  Is this going to cause a problem?  I
remember seeing some discussion about the minor version
upgrade, and if I remember correctly, it was an upgrade to
fix the registration of something ANSI related.  

Is there anybody out there that can tell me what
differences, if any, there are between 2600.0 and 2600.2?

from the info. that i have read it seems that there were issues with v...2600.0 on the ME platform.  ms has been very sketchy about this however...

i believe that the desktop engineer's junk drawer web-site was the source...
