Hello All,
I have seen intermittent hangs during an upgrade or uninstall of our product. It does not happen all the time, but happens very frequently. The hang is at the start of the setup when the files are being extracted. The hang occurs before the first line of OnBegin() function is executed.
I could not find any known issues related to IS 2008. I am not sure if something else is stopping setup.exe. Could someone please point me to how I should debug these intermittent hangs.

Maybe ProcessMonitor from SysInternals might help.
