I want to use the repair function to solve a confilct in to different Oracle versions.
I placed a fake shortcut in the startup folder to trigger the MSI, and thus thus the repair funtion. But I want only some registry keys to be repaird. I placed the registry keys in a seperate component.
But when the repair begins, the whole installation is repaired (feature, components files everything), I want only the registry to be repaired.......HOW
Thankx Remko

It's not possible to reinstall a single component. However, you can reinstall a feature. Use the Reinstall ControlEvent to mark a feature for reinstallation. In many situations, the maintenance option "Repair" just fires a ControlEvent Reinstall(ALL).

you said you had a fake shortcut which will trigger this so its pretty easy
put the short cut and reg keys into a feature on their own
thats it
