InstallShield 2009, MSI Basic

Hello,

I have a dummy MSI-Basic installation,
create from the wizzard.
I only add a file, which is copy into installdir.

During installation I have a look into process table of 'Task Manager'.

If start the project,
two process 'Msiexec.exe' are in the process table.

Then I cancel the installation and
the installation ends.

One process 'Msiexec.exe' is still in the process table - why ?

That's normal. msiexec runs as a service. Once oyu start the service by launching a msi file it will keep running. If you look in the services control panel you'll notice that the Windows Installer serice is set to manual start.
