When upgrading our product we get the error shown in the image. This happens before OnBegin is run, while the installer is still loading and, as far as I can tell, there's no way around it.

Our original installer was written in IS6, since then we've upgraded to IS12. Upgrades to the current version all result in this dialog. The only way to get around it is to remove the C:\Program Files\InstallShield Install Information\{.....} directory for our product, which kind of ruins the whole upgrade thing.

This is pretty serious as most of our customers won't even know where that directory is ... think about it.

Any help is appreciated.

I don't know what's causing this. As a workaround you could change the project guid, but at the cost of losing the automatic update functionality.
