When I look at the properties for a Shortcut the Feature property is DISABLED and set to 'Always Install' even though I also have 'Additional Info'.
WHY, and HOW do I FIX the problem?

This one I found the answer to myself.
The FEATURE is disabled because the particular files that were being used for the shortcut were only a member of one particular feature and therfore it is not necessary (nor possible) to select the feature.
I ASSUME that if one file is contained in more than one feature that it is then possible to select to what feature the shortcut is connected to.
