We are seeing a re-occurence of an issue that we originally saw with Install Shield Professional 5.
After our application install, we do not require a reboot, so the user is able to use the application immediately. They will then do so for some period of time, then shutdown their computer and go home.
Upon reboot the next morning, a number of the DLLs will be missing from the installation.
Are there any known issues similar to this. It doesn't happen every time, and if we make the user reboot after install, it never happens, but the problem seems more prevalent on Win2k systems than WinXP
Any ideas, or notions of where to start looking for the problem?

Check the PendingRenameOperations registry entry before the reboot. FileMon from Sysinternals might also be of help.
