Hi ,
Following is the scenario:
1. My installer stores some data in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application\XYZ directory on XP and in C:\ProgramData\XYZ on Vista.
2. At the time of up-gradation I am getting following error on Vista and windows 7.
Error -1303: The Installer has insufficient privileges to access this directory
C:\ProgramData\XYZ.
3. There is no problem on XP.
4. I have given administrator rights to the setup.exe and the custome action dlls that I am using.
5. Files in the XYZ folder are dynamically linked.
6. The above error occurs at the time of up-gradation only , re installation , new installation and un-installation works fine.
Would you please help me out.
Thanks,
Sumit.

Check the owner and acess rights on the existing files. Process Monitor from SysInternals might also help to diagnose the problem.
