Newbie using devstudio,
Is it possible to detect installed applications and exit installation informing user application needs to be uninstalled? Scenario is installing Mcafee, want to have user manually uninstall norton, sophos, etc... prior to install.

If you know the upgrade code for these products you can author your upgrade table to detect these products (provided they are windows installer setups). It is actually possible to automatically uninstall them using this approach, but this might not be a good thing to do. If the setups are not windows installer based you need to look for a signature file either using an AppSearch or a custom action.
