I have created my install, no probs and have grasped the Install, UnInstall, Rollback scenarios.  

Now patching......Oh my god...

I created two test setups as follows:

PatchOrig:
ProductVersion{1.0.0.0)
Product Code {GUID1}
Update Code{GUID1}
NewFeature1\NewComponent1\Simple.exe(v1.0.0.1)

Patch01:
ProductVersion{1.1.0.0)
Product Code {GUID1}
Update Code{GUID1}
NewFeature1\NewComponent1\Simple.exe(v1.1.0.1)

I install PatchOrig and the file gets installed, No problem.

Now it all becomes a bit hazy, I run tools->Generate Patch specifying PatchOrig.msi and Patch01.msi with the generate update option and I have this loverly Update.exe that launches as expected, I click update, success but the file is not replaced.  

What do I need to do In ISWI to create and apply minor upgrade.

In addition can some explain in lamens terms the differences between how the install methods: Reinstall, Patch and Fresh Install are invoked (I take it that Fresh Install is lanching the normal setup.exe)

I have looked at the help on this site and the ISWI, .msi help files so please dont refer me to any of those I just have a few gaping holes in my knowledge.
