I am testing a v6.5 IS setup from CD on a Win XP Pro laptop. The product has never been installed before on this machine. I get a script error "Installation support file c:\windows\temp......\isrt.dll could not be installed. Access denied."
I have not run a set up on this machine before so it is a new install of the product I am testing. Setup seems to continue leaving this error message behind.
Possible causes?

I was informed that by default when logged in as myself, I do not have administration priveledges. On my own computer, I do have admin priveledges, so I was unaware I didn't on this laptop. I will check this out. Thanks.
ps. I am using IS 6.3, not 6.5 as stated above.

I set my self as a user with Administration privileges. I still got an access errror on c:\user\username\appdata\local\temp\....
I used Explorer and deleted what I could in this directory - there wasn't very much there to begin with. I could not delete some InstallShield files. I reran the Setup and was then able to run the setup without the ..\temp\.. folder error.
This is a Vista OS, is there any new security issues being enforced with this directory?

Vista has a lot of security-related changes and, as mentioned here is NOT officially supported by IS6. For official support, you need IS12.
