Hello All,

Please tell me anybody regarding upgrade view in installshield10.5. Its under Media view.....
1. What is the difference between normal setup and with upgrade setup? 2. And also regarding product code when we need to change product code?

Thanks in advance.
Raghu.

Do not quite understand the first question, what I think of it is that it's safe to assume that at some point you'll need to ship fixes or updates to your application. For that reason, you can use the Media >> Upagrades to prepare setup for upgrades scenarios.
When you add a Upgrade Item to the project and "Detect Only" is No. The action "RemoveExistingProducts" in the Execute sequences will remove the previous product if detected. Or you can use this feature to define the behavior when your package detects a newer vertion. tongue.gif or just detect some other products for you.

as question 2,
ProductCode property is a unique identifier for the particular product release. This ID must vary for different versions and languages.A product upgrade that updates a product into an entirely new product must also change the product code. The 32-bit and 64-bit versions of an application's package must be assigned different product codes.
