Hi All,
Where can i get Windows Installer 3.1 for 64 bit OS. I know the link
for 3.1 Installer for 32 bit. But i failed to find the redistributable
for 64 bit OS.
If the 64 bit version of Windows server 2003 is not having WI 3.1( I
know WI 3.1 comes with SP1 - does this mean the user has to install
SP1 just to get the WI to 3.1 ????? ) not installed, how do we bring
the WI version to 3.1 on 64 bit version without installing sp1
This is urgent. Plz let me the solution.

I think you mean v4.5, which is the latest incarnation. It'll be easy enough to find on MS's site.

There's no MIS 3.1 for Server 2003 x64 without SP, as mentioned on http://www.installsi...ifaq/a/1001.htm :
The only way to install MSI 3.1 on a 64-bit version of Windows Server 2003 is installing SP1.
There is a separate hotfix package for the 32-bit and 64-bit editions of Windows Server 2003 SP1 and the 64-bit editions of Windows XP to update them to Windows Installer 3.1 (v2).
See the matrix at the bottom of the same page for versions and redist downloads.
