Now I know there have been numerous posts on here in the past regarding the MSDE 2000 merge mods. But I have yet to get it working 100%. I was hoping someone could provide information on exactly what needs to be done to get these to install without error, including which MSMs should be included. I know this is a big question, but if you can answer it for me, I know I won't be the only one who appreciates it.....

I need to know these things too. I have it getting installed no problem; however, MSDE is getting installed to the default directories, and not the ones I'm specifying. Also, the InstanceName isn't being applied. ARGGHHH

Josh Luth,
To get rib of the "configure error", you have to use three more merge modules. The following are merge modules you need to add to you project;
1. CONNECT.MSM
2. DEV_SCM.MSM
3. UPGRADE.MSM
Try it! It worked fro me...........Good luck!
