I could really use some help. My shop is revising and formalizing our SDLC processes, and I'm looking for a format for design and/or tech docs for installation. The templates we have don't seem to lend themselves well to installation projects.
If anyone has a format they are using, or could point me to a resource, I would really appreciate it.
Thanks.

You could look at the samples which are listed under "List Contents of InstallShield Project" and "MSI Database Viewers, Editors, Validators" at http://www.installsi...en/msi/tips.htm

Thanks, Stefan. Some of those tools may be part of what I'm looking for, but I also want to document custom actions and events that are tied to dialogs. Basically, I need to do tech designs so that another developer can find and understand the actions taken by the .msi.
Has anyone else had to do that, and what format/tool did you use?
