Hi there!

When testing my installation (still using IS 5) with Windows 8 it complains about the setup file being a 16bit program.
You can choose whether you'd like to disalbe 16bit programs or not.
After choosing "disable", there is no chance of running the setup again.
OK, I did not find out, where this can be reset, but this should not be done by the user.

Is there any possibility to run setup as a 32bit program from the start?
I tried to run _INST32I.EX_ directly instead of setup.exe.
I tried rundll32 _setup.dll.
But that did not work dry.gif

Anybody got an other solution than changing to a recent install tool ???

I have to stick to IS 5 until the end of this software sad.gif

best regards
Thomas

There's an old KB article that might help you. It's not on the web site anymore but it's still available at archive.org:
