Hi,
Till now we have been using Installshield 6 projects using install scripts. Recently we have migrated to IS2009.
So when we update the exisiting version of our application(installed using IS6) using the new version of our applications, few files are not updated with the new ones in the setup. Still the old file persists in the installation directory. Whereas if the installation is new installation, then the new file is seen in the install folder.
So is there any setting in OnUpdateUIBefore() method, which will remove all the existing files and overwrite all of them even if there is no change in the new setup?
Thanks and regards,
Ashok.

Presumably you're encountering this problem because you didn't change the GUID of the IS project when upgrading it to the new version which confuses maintaining an existing installation under the old version.
Alternatively, in this situation, you could delete the uninstall support from the old IS version prior to reinstallation. These files are located under "C:\Program Files\InstallShield Installation Information\<InstallShieldProjectGUID>"
Hope it helps.
