The question is not unfounded because my IS6.31 pro CD contains a IS5.5 I installed sideways the 6.31

No, it doesn't.
The reason for Pro 5 on the Pro 6 CD was, that Pro 5 was the last version to support Windows 3.x (16 Bit). Since this support was removed in Pro 6 the older version was included in case you needed to support Win 3.x.
There's no reason to include Pro 6 on the Pro 7 CD since Pro 7 can target all 32 Bit versions of Windows (95/95/Me/NT4/2000/XP)
