Hi everyone out there,

This is my first posting to this forum, so bare with me.

Get no errors or warnings when building this release, but When I CD install onto a WindowsNT client, I get Error 1904. Module [module.exe] failed to register. HRESULT -2147024769.

I get the impression this executable is being seen as a COM executable

Can someone shed some light on this one?

What exactly is module.exe?  a C++ service? MFC exe? , etc?

It's a standard exe.

I actually managed to solve this problem, by removing the component and adding it in again.  In the past this 'exe' used to be a 'dll', I think Installshield was still seeing it as a dll.  
When building the release, the number of components extracting com data from, went down by one from the previous build.
