When I build an installation from a set of files the Date Last Modified on the files is changed by 1 to 2 seconds when they are compressed up into the cabinet file.
Does anyone know why this happens and how to stop it.?

I've seen 1-2 seconds changes in time when copying across the network, but I've not noticed it with IS.
I've also not worried about it though 'cause I use Beyond Compare to check files and it accordingly has an option to ignore such minor differences in the timestamp. Also, so long as the contents are the same, I sometimes just ignore the timestamps.
