Hi All,
When attempting to do a silent (clean) install of an application, a customer was receiving an exit code of -3 in the log file, and the installation failed. I tried it on my machine, using the same setup.iss file, and also received the error. However, when I created my own setup.iss file, the installation worked fine. I suspect that their problem is permissions-related, much as they protest to the contrary. My question is, what does an exit code of -3 indicate?

No, according to the IS documentation, a return code of -3 means "Required data not found in the Setup.iss file." such as a dialog that isn't covered.
Therefore, I would compare the two ISS files and merge the unique data in order to properly cover all possible scenarios.
