Hi, i´m a newbie in this whole thing of Windows Installer. I{m amigrating a Workstation from Win 98 to Win XP, but there is an app (MSI) that was packaged with the Windows Installer 1.11 and i cannot run it on Win XP (appears an error mentioning a conflict with the Operating System).
Is there any way to "repack" it, changing it´s version to the 2.0 ?

I don't think the version is the problem. Windows Installer 2.0 is backward compatible. However the application itself may be incompatible, or the setup is not properly created (e.g. trying to overwrite protected system files), or the setup developer deliberately prevented instalaltion on XP.
