Hi,
i have a Basic MSI Project in InstallShield 11.5 and i don't have any idea how to get information about installed or not installed Windows Components( like IIS or SMTP Virtual Server..).
Is that information stored in system registry? If yes, it will be interesting to know: is this information (i mean key's names is registry) depand on Windows Version?

There's no general rule, the detection method depends on the product. Common methods are searching for a file or a registry entry which you can do using the AppSearch/DrLocator/RegLocator group of tables.
