[The title got cut off. It should have said "After pining the program to the taskbar, the icon is missing after uninstalling and then reinstalling."]
This happens on Windows 10, not sure this if this is the case for other operating systems. This is what happens.
The user pins our program to the taskbar.
He then uninstalls the program.
The icon on the taskbar remains.
He then installs a newer version of our program.
The icon on the taskbar looks like a blank page.
Is this known behavior? Is the best way to somehow delete the shortcut from %appdata%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\TaskBar on uninstall? My concern is that the path may not be the same for all operating systems.
