Hi,

I encounter with on particular target systems when install a MSI package(COM+ application proxy), exported by standard Windows 2000 Component Service
console.

Installation fails with error 1928. Error registering COM+ Application.

Target computers running Windows 2000 workstation Service Pack 4.

Where is the cause?

It says:
Error 2945: Installation of ComPlus App C:\Program Files\COMPlus Applications\{62068B39-64E7-405A-BAEE-D9376D37CD7C}\APL2F7A.tmp failed with error -2146368511.

-2146368511 (= 0x80110401) means something like "error accessing at least one object. You may find more information in the ErrorList collection" (translated from German, please look up the error code in your own language using Visual Studio's ErrLook.exe or in MSDN)

I have no idea what this error means but maybe a COM+ expert will know. Could it be a missing dependency?
