I've seen this asked before on the web, but never answered. How can you schedule a reboot during a rollback custom action (type 3329).
I can schedule reboots during deferred custom actions using tricks like creating temporary files then executing MsiSetMode(hInstall, MSIRUNMODE_REBOOTATEND
) in an immediate custom action after InstallFinalize. How can something similar be done for a rollback?
Unfortunately, I have to reboot as the installation has installed a 3rd party filter driver that must also be started during install to allow for configuration. If the rollback is started after the installation of this driver, the reboot will be required.

So installing and starting the driver doesn't require a reboot, but removing it does?
