Windows XP Service Pack 2 has been released to manufacturing on Friday August 6, 2004. The English and German version is already available for download for MSDN subscribers (http://msdn.microsoft.com/subscriptions/downloads/).
XP SP2 also includes the next version of the Windows Installer runtime, MSI 3.0. Installation packages to install MSI 3 on other supported Windows versions should be available within a few weeks.
