I need to do a major upgrade of a product. I have a previous version installed.
If i type
msiexec /i abc.msi REINSTALL=ALL REINSTALLMODE=vomus,
all the features of the product are disabled in a express install. Why is this so?
However, if i say
msiexec /i abc.msu REINSTALLMODE=vomus
the default features get enabled.
How does REINSTALL=ALL make the difference? When should this be used?
Should i use this during major upgrades?
Thanks in adavance!!!

REINSTALL=ALL should not be used for a Major upgrade, only for Small and Minor updates. In case of a Major upgrade the new version is Not Installed (because it has a new ProductCode).
