Hi
I am relatively new to installation processes and I have a problem when installing our software files on Windows NT machines with Service Pack 6 already applied. When we try to run our setup.exe to install our files the installation tells us "the service pack must be sp6" - but it is!!
I tried running the instmsiw.exe files but this just returned some internal error.
Please help - this is driving me crazy and my customers are unhappy as they cant install the new software!!!!
Thanks

if this is your .exe make sure that you have the correct platform pre-installation conditions...
it 'might' be that it needs a newer sp.
there were actually two ( 2 ) versions of the Service Pack 6... a Service Pack v6 ( baaaaaaad ) and a Service Pack v6a ( goooooood ). is it possible that your setup is needing Service Pack 6a ? .....
