Hi all,

I have a custom action which launches my appliation when it has finished installing.

It is a CA that launches the application, installed with the product and then a commit execution. (I have also tried a deferred execution.)

My problem is this  - if i place the CA just before InstallFinalize, then it works perfectly BUT the installation isnt finished so it looks messy.

If I put it just after Installfinialize then i get "Internal Error 2762".

Does anyone now why this happens?

If you want to put it after InstallFinalize it must be immediate execution.

I tried that with an immediate execution but it doesnt seem to do anything. I put a condition of NOT INSTALLED on it so that it would not execute while uninstalling, would this condition also prevent it from running as the last action in the installation?

This should work (given that your application is not previously installed - use a clean machine for testing).

You could create a log file to find out why the action is not executed.
