Error 1406

I am using install shield express 3.0 and upgraded to 3.03 to see if it would fix the problem.
Error - 1406 Could not write value VersionMinor to key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{3044.........}
Any ideas ?

This error can be caused by mixing numeric and non-numeric characters within a single field of the version. For instance, 6.0b will cause this problem while 6.0.b is OK.
