Hi all,
It seems as if every time anyone on my team has a technical issue, the InstallShield support folks recommend we upgrade to their latest version... We're currently on IS Pro 6.22 and I'm having problems creating a self-extracting exe (only on one machine). Needless to say, the IS support team hasn't been very helpful and again suggested we update our IS to 6.31.  I thought I remembered seeing some negative feedback to this update and was wondering if anyone has any opinions on it. I doubt that upgrading will really fix the problem, but am at the same time wondering if we should still go ahead with it so they will stop suggesting it and take a deeper look into the issue. Thanks very much!

My 2 cents:

Yeah, I think the upgrade would be a good idea(IMHO).  I've had no problems with 6.31 (that aren't normal InstallShield issues).

Perhaps, though you could aslo post your problem on the forum and see if someone else has run into the same concerns you did.

Ditto on not having no real problems with 6.31, but as for your specific issue I normally rely on PackageForTheWebWizard and not the include single executable option for media.
