I've built an installer which runs fine on all OS' except for XP, when I run it on Windows XP I get "Internal Error 2708" on the InstallWelcome screen. Apart from the fact it apparently means "No entries found in the file table. ", which there are, I've managed to find out very little about it from both the help files and the online docs from InstallShield or Microsoft.
ANY help would be greatly appreciated,

Firstly try running a msi validate on your msi project. This may point out any problems that may be causing your install to fail.
Then try an install on XP with verbose logging turned on. The log may have extra information that will help your identify the problem.
msiexec /I <MSI filename.msi> /L*V c:\logme.txt
