I am using DevStudio 9 and I want to debug my script while its running through maintenance mode and the uninstall...but it seems that it uninstalls first and then runs the debug mode so that it is a first time install again...is there any way to do this

Nobody has answered this one - I have the same exact issue, as I cannot get debug mode to debug my script in maintenance mode (modify/repair/remove). Anyone have an answer to this perplexing problem? Thanks!

Dudes and Dudettes - found it!
Under 'Tools > Options > Preferences' there is a section named 'Run Commands'. Uncheck the "Uninstall before installing" box. When doing things with the "Build", like debugging, this option will allow one to debug without the darned thing uninstalling first.
I can see both points of view here...Don't forget this one!!
The Macrovision site had an entry about this here:
