Hi,
I’ve created a patch 9.1.1 which installed on 9.1 source version.
When I uninstall 9.1.1 patch, I have a problem that my custom actions (Install Script) are not running.
After I analyzed the MSI log file, I noticed that the process of removing the Patch runs in execute sequence (Not UI sequence) and it skipping on my custom actions.
Even that I didn’t defined any condition for them – the uninstall patch process skipped on them.
As a result, I get error messages from these functions that I wrote on install script.
I tried to set for these custom actions many condition i.e.
“1”,””,”PATCH”,”Installed AND PATCH” etc
But still the uninstall patch process skips my functions…
The RTM version (9.1) was installed with Setup.exe file and the patch by 911.msp file – maybe this is related?
Do you have any idea? Please advise.
Thanks

Are those custm actions in the base msi or did you add them in the msp?

Just trying to figure out what might be wrong.
So these custom actions exist in the base msi, in the Install Execute sequence, they have no conditions, but they are still skipped? That's very strange. Does the log tell you why the action is being skipped?
