Hi,

In my project i want to install a service through installer.

But same service(same dlls)  is already installed on the system with different name.

 

eg:

on my system a Service  with name "RTMService" is already installed and that is run from location like c:\\RTM

now i want to install same dlls on that machine and i changed my service name like "TISWebService "  and that is run from location like c:\\TISWebService

 

In that case is Service.msc service added with name  "TISWebService " but when i want to start that service it shows errror but if i stop previous installed service "RTMService" then it run successfully.

 

How we handle this problem

I'm not sure if this is an installer issue or a limitation in the Windows operating system. Can you do it manually?
