In my product MDAC 2.7 is installed as dependency of a component. Product gets installed on Vista and WIndows 7 with UAC ON.

Now i have created patch for this product. On vista and WIndows 7 with UAC on i get error attached.

But when i make UAC off i do not get error. I checked log and it shows that both times patch as runing with Admin priviledge.

Any clue why this error. I have included latest 2.7 SP1 merge module from Installshield. I am using IS 2012 Premier.

Hi Amarjeet, are you launching through .msi file , if you create the setup.exe with msi and then try to launch through setup.exe.

Which version of InstallShield are you using? And how is the MDAC installer included in your setup? As a prerequisite or as a merge module/object?
