I got my installation which is a .exe.
The exe contains the support files the .msi and everything else.
When I launch the exe the first thing display is the window to notify me of require prerequisites. If prerequisites are not required then it move to unpack the .msi and other files and finally unpack the support files.
Well once is done unpacking the .msi the dialog disappears and nothing shows up while the support files are being unpacked.

This gives the impression that the installation has failed. Is there anyway to ensure something is displaying while the support files are being unpacked.

Generate a log to see what's going on. The first dialog in the actual msi file (not InstallShield's initizaition dialog while it extracts the msi file) called SetupInitialization is modeless, so it should stay on the screen until the next dialog shows up.

Try moving the SetupInitialization dialog before ISSetupFilesExtract in the Sequences view.
