Good afternoon everyone.

I'm really confused about this issue.
Thanks in advance for all responses.

The issue:
After running my installation, my product is installed into the following folder:
"Program Files\Rays\feature1".

However, when I uninstall my product via the control panel selection, the "feature1" folder is removed, but an empty, "Program Files\Rays" folder remains.
All of the registry entries that were created during the installation are removed cleanly.

I had expected "Program Files\Rays" to be removed during the uninstall.


The details:
Basic MSI.
InstallShield Professional - Windows Installer Edition 2.03
Product Properties Destination Folder reads: "[ProgramFilesFolder]\Rays"


The Request:
Can anyone suggest what I might change so that the empty "Program Files\Rays" folder is deleted during an uninstall ?

I'm so confused.

That's a good question. I'm curious to see other's responses. Because we allowed a user configurable installation directory, we always had to write a bunch of custom code to handle the case of the user picking C:\ as their install directory. Otherwise a custom action to remove [INSTALLDIR] would do it.
