I have a CA that launches msiexec with command line arguments to run another msi (I don't think this is deprecated). This second msi installs ok but a reboot is needed. On clicking yes or no to reboot, error 1722 is raised when control is passed back to the first msi. The first msi also needs a reboot when it has finished installing but is the a way to bypass the first reboot message so that both apps install followed by a single reboot?

Thanks Reedie.

As far as I know this only works in the UI sequence and thus will be skipped in a silent or basic UI install. And it will not roll back if your main (parent) install is cancelled. So this was never a recommended way to call sub-installs.
Also I'm not sure what will happen with UAC on Vista.
That said you could try REBOOT=ReallySuppress on the msiexec command line.
