The build step of Install Shield produces some folders like Reports, Logs etc. What do I have to do in order to prevent the.
The idea to to create a build that has a setup.exe, setup.msi file and a data1.cab file. How to achieve getting all this. Do i have to make the cab file or it is a part of the build process.

I don't think you can turn this off, but you can ignore them.

Is it possible for me to have a different kind of release which has just the setup program. What I think could work is to take only the setup program minus the other folders and files and put them in the directory where the final package could be made. This would make only the setup as the part of the final package. I'm sure this is going to have no bearing on these extra files and folders.

Your setup should be in the Disk1 folder. The logs and reports are not part of your setup.
