I have a DevSutdio 9 package that when installed writes an entry into the Windows Add/Remove Programs list.
When I install the same pakage via silent mode:
start /wait setup.exe /s /w
(created a setup.iss via setup.exe /r and placed in folder with setup.exe)
The program installs and creates the desktop icons and start menu items, but does NOT put the entry into the Add/Remove Programs list.
Does anyone know why this is happening and what I can do to correct it?
Thanks,
Wayne

You aren't alone with this. This same behavior still occurred as late as 10.5. I haven't checked 11 yet. From my logs, it appears that an IS function is failing. I do a whole lot in firstUIafter, including drivers and third party installs. I am re-engineering my install to msi only instead of install script msi, so I have stopped working this problem. Can your install be uninstalled? Mine can't. I did have a support ticket open with IS, but due to changing priorities, I couldn't follow through to the end.
