I am running into a big problem. The company I work for is in the process of rolling out XP SP2. I have MSI that were created on SP1 and work fine on SP1 the MSI also work fine on SP2 but the problem is it is taking 10 minutes to install on SP1 and 3hours and 15minutes on SP2. It is getting to the installation of the .INI files and the process pin's at 100% and take forever. Has anyone else seen this. The only options I can see is to update my MSI's and make the into Files.
Any help
Thanks
John

I can't say I've ever noticed this problem.
But I think Microsoft did change something in SP2 relating to "impersonation" when processing the "WriteIniValues" action.

Maybe they created a new problem at the same time?

Try creating a verbose log: it not only registers the actions, but also the time of starting and finishing of each action.
