I have an installscript MSI project.
If I choose to install for all users, every user should get his own data files installed to a specific location, get those data files updated and registry entries created under HKCU.
Now, I am doing this using active setup - launch a mini install when a new user logs on. This works fine except for Modify. If the user who performed the installation does a modify and adds more components, how do the other users get theses newly added components?
Is it possible to do this using advertised shortcuts? Please advise..

Not sure I understand the problem.
The new files should be available for all users. Are they not?
For any new settings why not use active setup again?
