What is the easiest way to check, whether VBScript is installed on the target system?
Regarding the installation: Do I have to install WSH with the "scr55en.exe"? Are Merge Modules available?
Does there exist a silent mode for the scr55en.exe installation.

Any help is highly appreciated

Andreas

To be sure that WSH is properly installed, you'd have to check all the files. Or check just those that you really use (cscript.exe or wscript.exe, scrrun.dll, ...)

You can run scr55en.exe even if WSH is already there. This is probably the safest method.

AFAIK there's no merge module for WSH.

Use /q to run in silent mode, and /r:n to suppress the reboot.

Thanks a lot Stefan,

however I encountered a problem trying to install scr55en.exe under NT 4.0: Error registering OCX wshom.ocx!!!
Using scripten.exe (with is for W2K only) I didn't have this problem.

Do you know if I can use sripten.exe with NT 4.0??

Regards

Andreas

I think that WSH has some dependency on IE 3 (or so - check the msdn web site)
