French, the install dies when it tries to generate the first of our custom dialogs. It complains about making sure that _isres.dll is in
_user.cab or something similar.
Anyone have an idea what's going on here?

Here is the situation: I have a setup routine which runs in English,French. One of our users has a French Windows NT4.0 machine. When they run the install and select English the install runs and completes successfully. When they select
French, the install dies when it tries to generate the first of our custom dialogs. It complains about making sure that _isres.dll is in

Does the setup work in French on your development machine? Do you have this custom dialog in your french _isuser.dll, too?
