Hi,
I am new to the msi technology. However I find it quite fascinating.
I have recently faced a particular concern when running my setup. I have created a msi which installs and starts a service. The service installation is done directly and not by using a CA. This works fine as long as the user has administrative privileges. For a non admin user I get a pop up saying the user does not have sufficient privileges.
As I understand the msi uses a exe from Windows-System32 to install and start a service. Is it possible to probably write a CA or something which can get the service installed for a non admin user.
Any other ideas are also appreciated.
As of now I see the service getting installed only using admin privileges.
