_isres.dll problem

I'm running into a problem with my installation. I'm taking over an installation that already exists at my company. When I first ran the installation it required that _IsRes.dll be included so I copied it out of the redistributable folder from InstallShield and pasted it into my CD Image. This allowed the install to run the way it should but then whenever I return to the folder, the _IsRes.dll file has disapeared and a numbered .dll file is there ie. 3a7e500.dll. In order to run the installation again I need to put a new copy of _isres.dll into the CD image folder. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
