Could I substitute a file in a *.cab file without
rebuild the whole media ?

Do you have the tool iscab.exe in IS6, too?

In fact, I have this problem in InstallShield 5.x.
But I hoped that I can reach more people with
this question here and that iscab.exe still exist in
version InstallShield 6.x.

If you have iscab.exe, run it at command line to see, what switches you can use ..
In your case, you can use the -a switch to add files listed in the ini file which is defined with the -i switch.
