I am converting a Developer 7.4 project to DevStudio 9.0 because they re-wrote the application in .NET. I found letting DevStudio install .NET framework v1.1 easier from DevStudio 9.0 instead of trying to modify the project in Developer 7.4 because the project release wizard did it for me.
Now the app needs Service Pack 1 for .NET framework v1.1, but I couldn't find a self-installing executable that had both the framework and the SP1 together. Will there be an update for DevStudio to include that? That would be too easy. So is there an easy method, short of creating a custom action, to kick off the self-installing executable for SP1 and wait until it finishes before continuing?

I wouldn't expect such an update for DevStudio 9. You may need to update to the latest version (10.5)
